The above image is titled “First Thanksgiving,” painted by Jennie Brownscombe in 1914.[2] Jennie was not only an American painter but a very early member of the same Daughters of the America (DAR) chapter that I am a member of, Wayne Chapter National Society DAR. Happy Thanksgiving.
