Happy Presidents’ Day

In honor of Presidents’ Day today, I decided to go back to the beginning; the origin of the holiday being in the 1880s to honor the birthday of our first President, George Washington, who was born the 22nd of February 1732.[1]

Two days ago, on October 6th, it would have been my maternal great-grandfather's 121st birthday. His name was Ludwig Köhler. He was born October 6, 1901, in Mannheim, Germany. He died August 13, 1983
